![]() ![]() ![]() The story is essentially a Saturday morning cartoon featuring characters from Final Fantasy (think Wacky Races, for the classic cartoon fans out there). What I actually enjoyed here is the game’s short story mode, which is an absolutely wild experience for franchise fans. It’s ultimately a bit shallow, though it has its moments of hectic fun. The racing isn’t the main attraction here, though. That’s one feature I’d actually love to see in Mario Kart 9. Hold on to your boost magicite and you might get a much bigger burst of speed if you get another. If they get two or three of the same spell, they’ll combine for larger effects. The twist is that players can hold three spells at a time. One lets players shoot a fireball ahead of them, while another sends a grim reaper to the driver in first place (it’s basically a blue shell, but players can avoid it by mashing the right bumper). When players hit a box, they pick up magicite spells. The one standout aspect is how the item system works. Like Mario Kart, players drift to get speed boosts, collect crystals (a stand-in for coins), and snag items that can be used to torture unsuspecting drivers. Races are short, usually clocking in around three minutes or less. Each has their own simple stats, karts, and a special ability. Players pick from a cast of racers pulled from the Final Fantasy series. Ready, set, kupo!Ĭhocobo GP is a fairly standard Mario Kart clone, with a few twists. While it’s not the most sophisticated deep racer out there, it makes up for that with a completely wacky sense of humor that will get some smiles out of Final Fantasy historians. “Absurd” is actually a pretty good word to describe Chocobo GP.

In the beginning, my friend and I would usually congregate just beyond a group of enemies’ line of sight, carefully scanning ahead of us while coming up with the best means to take multiple targets out at once together. Outside of a handful of short tutorials, the entire campaign is available in online co-op for up to three players, and it's a blast. If that were the case I probably would not have resorted to madly sprinting towards a mission's finish line near the campaign's last few hours, often fumbling quieter sequences and resulting in more tiresome fighting.Īs is true of nearly every game that supports it, having buddies by your side goes a long way in alleviating Aragami 2's more tedious sections. It feels like developer Lince Works wanted to draw out the campaign to reach an arbitrary hour count, but Aragami 2 could have nearly half of its missions cut and would be better for it. There's just a staggering lack of variety across the board. Worse yet, virtually every objective is either just a boring fetch quest to nab random items or assassination contracts with no substance. Sure, you might be gathering intel now instead of rescuing prisoners like last time, but visiting a stone quarry for the umpteenth occasion aggravates beyond belief. Missions have a nasty habit of returning to the earlier levels ad nauseam, upwards of five times in the most egregious instances. ![]() There were more scraps in my future, sadly, especially as I steadily lost patience with Aragami 2's excruciatingly slow pacing. I came to avoid combat at all costs for these reasons alone, even forgoing lethal takedowns when possible out of the fear that they might somehow trigger more tussles later on. Considering guy-with-sword is the only enemy type to encounter for the vast, overwhelming majority of playtime, you'll likely grow tired of fights, regardless of the outcome. Only two or three hits will send you belly-up, so it's best to sprint, hide, and wait for the guards to get back to patrolling, particularly if two or more are on your tail. Frustration sets in quickly when parrying fails, and then enemies wail on your defenseless carcass. ![]() I'm relatively confident the parry maneuver is partially to blame as it often doesn't, well, actually parry incoming sword-swipes. Combat in Aragami 2 is bizarrely swampy and awkward for a game about ninjas, where the timing of both hits and misses feels off, as if the animations aren't keeping up with the fights themselves. Of course, there are times when a plan goes awry, and things devolve into duels that are about as enjoyable as pushing a wheelbarrow full of rocks in knee-deep mud. ![]() It was thus concluded that:Īt around the 35 th and 36 th week of your pregnancy, the level of the amniotic fluid is the highest. anything more than 25cm is believed to be (polyhydramnios).Ī study conducted on 50 healthy women and according to the study, the amniotic fluid index (AFI) measured in cms. Interest in a story like a fake moon landing (in the movie’s case, the first manned mission to Mars) had appeal. Watergate broke and America was thrown into a government scandal at its highest levels. Hyams shopped the script around but got no takers. That was in 1972, four years before Kaysing’s book was released. So he wrote a story based on the concept. “I wondered what would happen if someone faked a whole story.” ![]() For him, he admits, it was the same with television. “I grew up in the generation where my parents basically believed if it was in the newspaper it was true,” Hyams said in an interview with a film trade magazine. A former TV news anchor, Hyams was more interested in how such a thing could actually be pulled off? Peter Hyams Whether you believed Kaysing or not was a moot point for American screenwriter and director Peter Hyams. Kaysing’s theories were technical and persuasive and soon a movement of nonbelievers, inspired by the book, was born. Kaysing believes NASA couldn’t safely put a man on the moon by the end of the 1960’s (a promise made by President Kennedy) so they staged it instead. We Never Went to the Moon: America’s Thirty Million Dollar Swindle was written by Bill Kaysing, a Navy midshipman and rocket specialist, who claimed to have inside knowledge of a government conspiracy to fake the moon landing. In 1976, a controversial new book was released that contended the Apollo 11 moon mission never happened. ![]() ‘Capricorn One’ – The Movie That Helped Shape a Conspiracy ![]() SwimOutlet is honored to have been recognized by Internet Retailer as an "Industry Leader." Dorsey also re-contextualized his now-infamous tweet claiming that “Elon is the singular solution I trust,” clarifying that he meant specifically for the outcome of taking Twitter private (presumably versus other activist hedge fund investors).ĭorsey also took issue with the accusation that he “sold out” in selling the company to Musk, which is a flippant accusation for sure, but especially because, as Dorsey pointed out, public companies are inherently subject to sale and acquisition given the right (or wrong, I suppose, depending on where you sit) market conditions.Timing is the best way to keep track of the time you spend with your Mac. In addition to lamenting Twitter’s state under Musk and the circumstances that led it there, Dorsey also shared his opinion that Twitter “never would’ve survived as a public company,” suggesting that market conditions combined with the state of the company at the time meant it was destined for manipulation by activist investors and PE firms angling to take it over. Washington Post writer Will Oremus then quoted that post and attempted to frame it as Dorsey avoiding blame himself, which Dorsey strongly objected to, noting that he has previously apologized for his role in Twitter’s fate plenty. So I’m happy Jay and team and nostr devs exist and building it. But it happened and all we can do now is build something to avoid that ever happening again.
